“Assisted reproduction is an interdisciplinary field dominated by subfields of biology (developmental biology, genetics, cellular physiology, epigenetics, etc.). If a biologist is not working as a research scientist directly, then applied biology disciplines offer excellent opportunities for self-development. Moreover, in addition to the biology components, assisted reproduction has clinical aspects as well as the equally important ethical and moral aspects. All of this makes assisted reproduction a highly complex field that was – and is – the ideal choice for me.”
